Hello CLF Team - What is the lowest embodied carbon CMU block available in the North Atlantic region with and without a cost premium? This is for a NYC project. Thank you (again), Aaron

I am not sure of its availability in your region, but have you heard of Prometheus Materials? They have a one-pager brochure for CMU

> **[Product Portfolio - Prometheus Materials](https://prometheusmaterials.com/product-portfolio/)**
>
> Our ProZero™ bio-building material spans an array of applications, providing both sustainable production and superior performance.

Unfortunately, it appears only on the west coast’ish region but there is also Basalite

> **[OUR PROJECTS | Basalite CMU](https://www.basalite-cmu.com/projects)**
>
> Our CMU product has been integral to diverse architectural projects, spanning from schools to homes and commercial buildings. Architects and builders favor it for its versatility and reliability, balancing aesthetic appeal with structural strength....

Jandris CarbonX is a popular product in the Northeast and I believe it’s manufactured here. Bit of a pain to get the EPD though - you’ll have to contact them or it’s in the OneClick database.

Hi! Glenwood Masonry in Brooklyn makes block with Pozzotive and Carbon Cure. Pretty good stats. Light weight block as the best reductions in GWP though as to be expected (for now!)

You’ve gotten some good responses so far, but you can also find info from the Concrete Masonry and Hardscapes Association’s (CMHA) new-ish IW EPD at [Sustainability - Concrete Masonry and Hardscapes Association](https://www.masonryandhardscapes.org/sustainability/). They have industry wide data for US and Canada. Unfortunately, they don’t have it broken out my region, but a couple of the companies listed in other posts share companies in the Eastern US.
