Material Carbon Emissions Guide for residential designers and builders

Hi again!
One last recent document, produced by Builders for Climate Action and the City of Nelson, BC. This is a “Material Carbon Emissions Guide” that Nelson is providing to designers, builders, retailers and the public in their region. It shows comparative A1-A3 emissions for the material categories that were found to be most impactful in our study of 34 as-built homes in the region. The results come from EPDs as calculated by the MCE2 tool from Natural Resources Canada.

Thank you for very valuable thoughts and pdf material, which are very helpful. Thanks

To support broader adoption, I recommend creating a simplified summary chart or infographic from the guide highlighting top low-carbon material choices by category. This would make it easier for designers and builders to reference during early design phases without needing to read the full document, helping to drive quick, informed decisions on carbon-smart materials.
