Potential Topics for Content: ILFI has included MEP 2040 Commitment a pathway to compliance for one of their programs

I’d like to follow-up with a contact at ILFI to explore jointly promoting.

Can anyone on the team comment on or investigate why this pathway would be more desirable than other pathways?

Can we identify firms that would say publicly that they would choose this pathway or, are using this pathway to achieve compliance?

That’s awesome news, Josh!

I am in the field today and am just seeing/able to respond. Andrew’s comments not withstanding,

  1. I’d like to better understand this bit of news and, possibly do
something together with ILFI to extend our reach and credibility.

  2. It would be great to have a couple of AEC firms, CLF and, Architecture2030
briefed and ready to issue a comment in support of the post and, be
    available to validate its significance.

  3. Among the things that I would like ECWG to develop moving forward is a
Storyboard - an internal working calendar of anticipated announcements
(i.e. agreements with organizations like ILFI, new signatories, new
releases of the Guide, significant new data trends, etc.) - so that we
can plan for, organize and, tell a narrative of progressive collective
action to reduce carbon emissions associated with building systems.
Start thinking of what milestones are on the horizon within your working
groups in the coming year that we can place on the Storyboard.

The ECWG has its first meeting next week to brainstorm ideas.

More to come…

For
Content Managers on the LinkedIn page, I am now adding all the members
of the steering committee, plus Rob and Kristy from the advisory
committee:

In
addition, Brian and Ghina are “superadmins,” which means they have
overall administrative control of the LinkedIn page, including the
ability to add or remove Content Managers.

Requirements to be a Content Manager for the page:

  1. Have your own LinkedIn page

  2. Be a follower of the MEP 2040 page

My suggestions:

  • If
you have an idea for a post that will obviously support and promote MEP
2040, build the network, add signatories, etc., then go ahead and post
without asking permission from others. The more of you who post the
    better!

  • If you have an idea that might be controversial or need
to check facts, you should check in with others on the steering
Committee to make sure your post is aligned with the steering (or
    advisory) committee.

Morning Kristof & Paul – so I think we have our first official
communication thing come up this morning. Kristy brought up on this
week’s Steering Committee meeting and again on this mornings
Manufacturer/EPD WG meeting that ILFI has included MEP 2040 Commitment a
pathway to compliance for one of their programs: https://www.manula.com/manuals/living-future/zero-carbon-1-1/1/en/topic/intent-requirements

We think this deserves a big ole LINKEDIN POST! So does everyone feel good
about that from Advisory Board and Steering Committee leadership?
