Help CARB design data collection!

CARB is looking for feedback on how best to collect embodied carbon data from manufacturers and project-level data (quantities, cost, embodied carbon) from project teams. Take these surveys to help CARB design reporting mechanisms that align with your workflows and available data!

These voluntary efforts will help shape future mandatory reporting required in AB 2446 and AB 43, which direct CARB to develop a comprehensive strategy to achieve a 40% net reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from building materials by 2035.

Learn more about voluntary data collection here.

Thanks!

Let’s chat Jordan. At the City of Vancouver, we are embarking on a process of developing an online wbLCA reporting platform to fast-track permit submission reviews. We have similar embodied carbon reduction goals and timelines.

Happy to help as well, @jordan.palmeri! At BuiltCold, we’re developing a new module tailored for government agencies to gather the specific information you’re requesting. It also includes tools to engage manufacturers new to the EPD process, ensuring broader participation and coverage.

Please feel free to reach out to CARB at ec-reporting@arb.ca.gov. We are happy to respond to any questions!

we can build systems models using aI on the fly and allow user to shape then populate teh model. example: we generated a 100 node (inputs, processes & output) model for a laptop in 1 minute. Can model anything any degree of granularity, usually first estimate is 20% error bars which is a helpful starting point for recipient. CarbonSig users can forward models from their parent account to vendors. www.carbonsig.com
