Hi all - How are teams thinking about specification language/requesting documentation for the new LEEDv5 MRc4 as it relates to non-structural composite wood products? Given there are so many different ways to earn points for composite wood, I can’t imagine a spec is going to list everything that is included on page 5 of USGBC’s BPSP Criteria Area and Levels resource (Link here: USGBC )
Certification, salvage, HPD, EPD, Declare, etc. could all be relevant. Are design teams/owners requesting specific items based on their goals/preferences (i.e. spec’ing one COC certification program over another knowing one can earn more points), or giving manufacturers flexibility to demonstrate how their materials earn multi-attribute points?
Anyone willing to share sample specification language that they are already integrating into projects?
