Registration is now open for AIA/ACSA’s Intersections Research Conference to be held live online Wed 9/30 - Fri 10/2. The conference features 3 days of presentations on the theme of carbon, as well as interactive workshops, creative exercises and networking opportunities (and includes opportunities to earn over 11 hours of HSW credits).
As the first in a dedicated series of Intersections Conferences, we will share and examine the role research plays in advancing architectural knowledge and practice and education around the topic of carbon. Presentations will highlight the latest research on embodied carbon, life cycle analysis, biomaterials, circular design methodologies, passive strategies and interface between carbon management and public health. We will be featuring the work of members of the Carbon Leadership Forum and it would be great to have some lively community engagement!
In addition we will be discussing ways to improve equity and access to high-performing buildings and how to keep our communities strong to ensure they thrive.
