I was wondering if anyone had any GWP data on slab underlayments made of recycled rubber? I found Regupol’s EPD for their Sonus Sound product and A1-A3 emissions are roughly 2.83 kgCO2e/m2 for a 12mm underlayment. I’m finding this very high considering it’s being used as a substitute for a thicker concrete topping, resulting in a higher GWP system. I’d like to better understand why it has such a significant GWP and if there are any low-carbon alternatives.
