Washington Conservation Action is holding our 8th annual Carbon Friendly Forestry Conference at Cedarbrook Lodge in Seatac. We’ll be back in person for the first time since pre-COVID, and are looking forward to a great day of speakers and networking. You can learn more here and register here.
We’ll have several sessions on building with wood and measuring carbon impact of forest management and wood products:
- Sustainable Mass Timber: From Forestry & Fabrication to Data-Driven Design, featuring speakers from Perkins&Will and Kalesnikoff
- New Paradigm for Utilizing Undervalued Species in Engineered Timber Homes, featuring the Composite Recycling Technology Center and Chickadee Forestry
- Forest Management and Carbon Impact Assessment Panel, featuring technical experts from University of Washington, SUNY ESF, and Vibrant Planet.
I hope to see some of you there!
