ECN Vancouver will be hosting a free online webinar focused on Mass Timber and Embodied Carbon on Monday, March 16th from 6-8pm PST ! This event, originally planned as an in-person event in Vancouver, has been converted to an entirely online experience in light of concerns over the growing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Due to this shift, we can now invite a much larger audience outside of Vancouver to join in this important conversation around Mass Timber and Embodied Carbon!

About the Webinar:
We have a great lineup of industry experts that will present on biogenic carbon, forestry certifications, CLT fabrication, & LCA modelling of mass timber buildings. There will be time for Q&A after each presentation.
- Geoffrey Guest from the National Research Council Canada will present on “The Climate Conundrums of Biogenic Carbon emissions”. Geoff is a Research Officer at NRC and is the founder and technical lead for NRC’s Low-Carbon Assets through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA^2) Initiative, which is a major national initiative that will establish a centralized Canadian Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) database and support the development of guidelines, benchmarks, and enhanced tools.
