Searching for Embodied Carbon Benchmark for School Buildings

Hi everyone! I’m currently working as a sustainability intern for a design-build AEC firm outside Chicago and I am looking for the best way to develop a benchmark for the embodied carbon of educational buildings. I want to be able to establish a benchmark to reference for future projects of new schools, as well as using as a starting point when looking at the embodied carbon savings of renovation compared to new construction. If anyone knows of any research papers or resources that may be helpful or has any data they could share from their own projects, I would greatly appreciate it.
