Hi, I’m reviewing an EPD for plastic windows with a double-insulating glass unit that claims, “The transmission heat losses during the use phase are included in Module B1…”. I find this odd, considering the B1 module typically references the emissions of the Use or Installation of the material, and the heat losses and solar gains would depend very strongly on actual climatic conditions at the place of installation. The EPD was created according to EN 1580+A2. Should I exclude the B1 module in my comparison?
